Week 21 HOLA!!!

Whats up world!!!! How ya'll doing?? Life is great. Life is good!!! :D
So Austin's getting baptized on Saturday, well planned at least, he was turned over to us from the YSA sisters because of some drama, and he's doing great. He's very spiritually in tune, but kinda emotionally unbalanced, so we hope everything works out. He is a really cool guy though, we're excited!!
Mike is still doing good, he's excited for next Saturday, and he's going to make a great member. More of the ward needs to get to know him though, he works ALOT. Love that guy to death, we're like best friends. GO MIKE!!! :D
Not too much to say, weather's getting better, finally can take our suits off! WOOT!!  Let me know if there's anything I can do for any of you! Thanks for everything!!! :D Love you!!
-Elder Ellis

Week 20 Birthday boy

April 7, 2014
Weird, I totally forgot, but it was my birthday on Thursday!! :D thanks mom, that package was a great reminder!! Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday!! especially Heidi and family, God must have told you that Reese's were my favorite. :D You're the best!!! And mom and dad of course.
Conference was super sweet!!! This was by far my favorite conference ever, no joke. Elder Holland's talk was by far my favorite, him preparing all of us for the dark times ahead. Since the Lord is hastening his work, Satan is also pushing everything he has to stop this work. It's kind of pointless for him, cause God's going to win no matter what, so Satan's a dummy. Its the beginning of the end... Woohoo!!! Life's great! :D
Don't know if I talked about Mike yet, but he's super sweet, love all of our lessons with him. He's on date for the 26th, and we're pretty excited for him. He's pretty solid, and he knows the Book of Mormon is true, and ya he a great guy. Love him!! Haha go Mike.
So don't really know what else to say, life is great, weather's getting better. Haha what's new with you? :D
Well I love you all, have a fantastic week!! I feel like I forget to write a lot of people back sometimes, and I really hope I don't... But I love you all!!! Rally, a lot! I'm going to go play some sports and get all this energy out. GO MUNCIE!!!!!! :D

-Love Elder Ellis :D

p.s. ohhhhh yeah, there was a huge flood on one of the streets, it was like 3 feet deep, it was super crazy. The water had been pumped out of 2 feet when I took this picture, so it's not as cool as it was... but still crazy.

Week 19 Transfers!!! AHHH

March 31, 2014
Oh my gosh!!!!!! I'm getting transferred!!!! BWahaha just kidding, I'm not. I totally thought I was though, I am really surprised to still be here. I am so happy to still be here though!!!!! :D I LOVE MUNCIE!!!! And me and Elder price have like a ton of people that we need to baptize this transfer, so that's good that we're both still here. I LOVE MUNCIE!! I know I already said that, but repetition is used in the scriptures to emphasize stuff, SO I LOVE MUNCE!!! Haha it rocks.
SO the baptism with Melissa this weekend went BEAUTIFULLY! Ever since she's stepped out of the water, there's been this glow around her, and it so cool to see the spirit with her so strong. GO MELISSA!!! Now we just need to get her son Noah there, and he's been coming around, so that's good.
Man, half the time I don't know what to say in e-mails. Weather's good.... It's actually been getting pretty warm, so woo-hoo! Life's great, and I like totally forgot that it was my birthday this Thursday, so that's kinda weird. OOOO General Conference is this weekend!!!! woot!!! LOVE general conference, it's so  sweet. I might send a picture or two later, if I took some... I'll find out. WELL I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! you rock! :D Have a fantastic week!! :D
This is our awesome district! Sisters Holm, Ellis, and Floyd and Elder McMichael are leaving... sad day, they're all awesome.

Interesting - Week 18

March 24, 2014
So something really disappointing happened, Ryan, who was going to get baptized, turns out has been lying to us about his word of wisdom issues, and probably some other concerns as well... He said he had stopped smoking, but he's been smoking a lot, and we caught him on the corner of the bus station. We confronted him later, but he just continued to lie, and keeps lying.... and its really sad. So we're not going to baptize someone like that, at least not for a few months. But anyways, glad we caught him before we baptized him, or he'd like go to hell or something for being unworthy. Haha look at the bright side! :D
Some other really good new, Melissa, who we helped move into the ward a few weeks ago, is getting baptized this weekend, and she's a lot more solid than Ryan was. She has a sweet testimony, her daughter's been a member for over a year, and she's getting lots of good influences from ward members. She was in the second ward being taught by the sisters when I was down there, and I gave her a blessing that she'd be able to quit smoking because she really wanted to. That was a few months ago and she hadn't made any progress... But then she moved into 1st ward and a lot of the ward members fellowshipped her, and she's quit smoking for good. It's ironic that it just took awhile for that blessing to be fulfilled. And that we get to end up teaching her and baptizing her, so it's been a really good experience. She's in her 40's and is a great person. There's just some people you have an instant friendship with, and it's really cool to see them make good changes in their life. Woot woot!! :D
We're still waiting for Zimmack, he still just doesn't seem quite ready yet. He has a really good heart though.
OH MY GOODNESS we got to go to the Columbus temple on Wednesday, and it was amazing. Our mission president pulled some strings and the entire mission has gone over the past few weeks, even though the temple is out of our mission, we got approval. Haven't felt the spirit so strong like that in forever, there's truly no place like the temple. Loved it so much.
This is Elder Carter!! He's awesome, a great leader and a great friend. He's been able to help me through a lot. And he's from Morgan, Utah, the same place as President Porter. Porter was his stake president when he left, then ended up in the same mission. Pretty crazy. He's a cool guy. :D
Well, if there's anything you guys need, let me know! and if its important, then say IMPORTANT in the subject, it helps my brain comprehend things. Anyways, Love you all!!!!   :D

Week 17 Good Luck Ryan!!

We've got Ryan planning to get baptized this Saturday, but he has to not smoke at all this entire week to make it. He's been making lots of good progress, so we've got hope for him, but it might have to get pushed back another week. So we'll see how things go... but hopefully they go well!! :D
I don't have a lot of time to e-mail today, we're having a Mission Fun Day or something. The Fort Wayne and Muncie stakes with their 2 respective zones are getting together under the direction of the mission president and we're like going to play games and stuff. I forgot my camera too, so no pictures.... but Muncie is awesome!!!! Love it!!! Love you all, have a fantastic week!!!! Let me know if you want or need anything!! :D
Sorry I wish I had more time today. Love you all!! :D like really, every single one of you. :D Jesus loves you too. Don't forget it. :D

Week 16 Zimmack!

March 10, 2014
So the bipolar schizoid came back from the dead!! :D and he still wants to get baptized. And he still doesn't have a testimony... His brain is a little too screwed up for most of the spirit to get through and testify... But it's a work in progress, we'll get him there. He wanted to take us out to eat yesterday, and we had to explain the sabbath all over again to him. Haha. He's such a nice guy. :D
We've got Ryan on date for the 22nd, and all he has to do is quit smoking by Saturday!! He's down to 0-1 a day, so we've got hope for him. Robert Williams (which I thought he said Robin Williams the first time we met him) is reading the Book of Mormon, and is on date for the 29th, and we have high hopes for him as well.
We're teaching Melissa and Brad, who both are surrounded by the church because there are 15 people who live in this tiny house together, and we're going to baptize them too, because they want it, they're ready, and they need Jesus. Melissa just needs to quit smoking as well, and Brad gets back from Vegas the 20th. Don't worry, he's being a good boy. :D We had a phone lesson with him the other day in their house, it was pretty unique. Take that Satan, you can't stop the work of salvation with 500 miles! or however far away that is... Not like I'll be going to Vegas anytime soon.
We met this cool homeless guy, Shawn, who also want to get baptized, but there's lots of people in Muncie who want to get baptized and don't have a job and can't keep commitments and really just want to eat your food... But Shawn actually looks interested, and he has a phone so we can get in contact with him. Elder Price kept on calling him Steve during the lesson on Wednesday.... He is the absolute worst with names. He was also calling Maria Monica and he never remembers anyone we teach... And I thought my last 2 companions had bad memories. My next probably won't remember how to tie his shoes...(There was this dude who kept thinking it was God and Nephi who appeared in the first vision) Hopefully not.
Well, another week in paradise, transfers are half over, and I really hope I'm going to stay when they come, but there's a good chance I'm going to leave. Which would make me really sad, Love Muncie so much. I love you all so much!!!! Hugs and kisses!! well, just handshakes, that's all I'm allowed. :D Have a good one everyone!!
-Elder Ellis

P.S. I want to leave a commitment to all of you to talk to one person that isn't a member about the gospel. When we're bold and we do it through the Spirit, amazing things happen. Let me know how it goes! :D

Hola yo companerdos! - Week 15

March 3, 2014

So in case any of you didn't know, I don't actually speak Spanish, so don't judge me.... but I have been doing a bit of studies in it. Mandamientos = commandments, el libro de mormon, otro testamento de Jesus Cristo. Anyways, life is fantastic!! :D We got Ryan on date for the 22nd, which is 3 days before his birthday, which is totally inspired. After the lesson, me and my companion were both talking about how we wanted to put him on for the 15th, but the spirit told us 22nd, and its just cool how things work out like that when you listen to the Spirit. His only problem is that he needs to quit smoking, and he's only smoking 1-2 a day, so its completely possible. I have great faith in him. :D
Samantha surprised us by coming to church with her inactive boyfriend, Eli, which was super sweet, and we have a lesson with them on Wednesday, which we're very excited for because she's super interested. We met a lot of new people this week, but most of them caved on the second appointment, which happens a lot here. It's like the moment they're separated from the Spirit, they just forget about all the good feeling they had. And Steve dropped us yesterday, but I don't like that idea, so he's going to take us back. Just wait and see, it'll happen. :D
We hopefully had the last snow of the season this weekend, and its been colder than penguins out there. If only there was no wind, it wouldn't be half as bad, but the wind chill lowers it from like 10 to -10. haha When it's at 20 degrees, we're all like " OH MY GOODNESS IT'S SO WARM OUT HERE!!!" yes, it's so warm, not it's so warm. This is Hoosier Indiana land, not America. Haha I love it here so much!! My Companion is like the funniest guy in the world, I think he's going to turn out to be my favorite so far... just like the last guy... and maybe like the next guy... I just love everyone, they're such wonderful souls. Go Elders!!!! :D
Here's a picture of me and the girl that I baptized, I think I forgot to send it... anyways, I messed up 3 times on the prayer when I did it, pretty hilarious, that was Feb 15. And there's another with the 2 sisters that taught her. I kinda just look like the awkward guy to side in that one, but that's ok, sisters are like diseases. The farther you stay away from them the better. :D
WELL another superly fantastic week in front of all of us here in Muncie, and for all you guys too, wherever you are! Let me know if you want any other pictures, I can only send two at a time because Satan hates us. :D It's easy to blame everything bad on him, and fun, like a game. hehe I love you all!!!! A lot!!! Thanks for everything you guys do for me and all the other wonderful people you bless with your everyday lives! :D I just looked back and saw how many smiles I put in this thing... that's a lot. :D Keep smiling everyone!!!! :D Love ya!!
