So the bipolar schizoid came back from the dead!! :D and he still wants to get baptized. And he still doesn't have a testimony... His brain is a little too screwed up for most of the spirit to get through and testify... But it's a work in progress, we'll get him there. He wanted to take us out to eat yesterday, and we had to explain the sabbath all over again to him. Haha. He's such a nice guy. :D
We've got Ryan on date for the 22nd, and all he has to do is quit smoking by Saturday!! He's down to 0-1 a day, so we've got hope for him. Robert Williams (which I thought he said Robin Williams the first time we met him) is reading the Book of Mormon, and is on date for the 29th, and we have high hopes for him as well.
We're teaching Melissa and Brad, who both are surrounded by the church because there are 15 people who live in this tiny house together, and we're going to baptize them too, because they want it, they're ready, and they need Jesus. Melissa just needs to quit smoking as well, and Brad gets back from Vegas the 20th. Don't worry, he's being a good boy. :D We had a phone lesson with him the other day in their house, it was pretty unique. Take that Satan, you can't stop the work of salvation with 500 miles! or however far away that is... Not like I'll be going to Vegas anytime soon.
We met this cool homeless guy, Shawn, who also want to get baptized, but there's lots of people in Muncie who want to get baptized and don't have a job and can't keep commitments and really just want to eat your food... But Shawn actually looks interested, and he has a phone so we can get in contact with him. Elder Price kept on calling him Steve during the lesson on Wednesday.... He is the absolute worst with names. He was also calling Maria Monica and he never remembers anyone we teach... And I thought my last 2 companions had bad memories. My next probably won't remember how to tie his shoes...(There was this dude who kept thinking it was God and Nephi who appeared in the first vision) Hopefully not.
Well, another week in paradise, transfers are half over, and I really hope I'm going to stay when they come, but there's a good chance I'm going to leave. Which would make me really sad, Love Muncie so much. I love you all so much!!!! Hugs and kisses!! well, just handshakes, that's all I'm allowed. :D Have a good one everyone!!
-Elder Ellis
P.S. I want to leave a commitment to all of you to talk to one person that isn't a member about the gospel. When we're bold and we do it through the Spirit, amazing things happen. Let me know how it goes! :D
