Interesting - Week 18

March 24, 2014
So something really disappointing happened, Ryan, who was going to get baptized, turns out has been lying to us about his word of wisdom issues, and probably some other concerns as well... He said he had stopped smoking, but he's been smoking a lot, and we caught him on the corner of the bus station. We confronted him later, but he just continued to lie, and keeps lying.... and its really sad. So we're not going to baptize someone like that, at least not for a few months. But anyways, glad we caught him before we baptized him, or he'd like go to hell or something for being unworthy. Haha look at the bright side! :D
Some other really good new, Melissa, who we helped move into the ward a few weeks ago, is getting baptized this weekend, and she's a lot more solid than Ryan was. She has a sweet testimony, her daughter's been a member for over a year, and she's getting lots of good influences from ward members. She was in the second ward being taught by the sisters when I was down there, and I gave her a blessing that she'd be able to quit smoking because she really wanted to. That was a few months ago and she hadn't made any progress... But then she moved into 1st ward and a lot of the ward members fellowshipped her, and she's quit smoking for good. It's ironic that it just took awhile for that blessing to be fulfilled. And that we get to end up teaching her and baptizing her, so it's been a really good experience. She's in her 40's and is a great person. There's just some people you have an instant friendship with, and it's really cool to see them make good changes in their life. Woot woot!! :D
We're still waiting for Zimmack, he still just doesn't seem quite ready yet. He has a really good heart though.
OH MY GOODNESS we got to go to the Columbus temple on Wednesday, and it was amazing. Our mission president pulled some strings and the entire mission has gone over the past few weeks, even though the temple is out of our mission, we got approval. Haven't felt the spirit so strong like that in forever, there's truly no place like the temple. Loved it so much.
This is Elder Carter!! He's awesome, a great leader and a great friend. He's been able to help me through a lot. And he's from Morgan, Utah, the same place as President Porter. Porter was his stake president when he left, then ended up in the same mission. Pretty crazy. He's a cool guy. :D
Well, if there's anything you guys need, let me know! and if its important, then say IMPORTANT in the subject, it helps my brain comprehend things. Anyways, Love you all!!!!   :D
